Pantomimes

So i just had a booster session for my upcoming major exams this October. The trainer talked and taught us some skills to aid us in our preparations for our examinations. But for the most part, i was most moved by the theory he shared with us which was the Expectation and Acceptance Levels theory. From what it seems, yes, it has everything to do with the goals in our life.

When we put our minds to something that we desire to attain/achieve, there is a certain level of expectancy that is most definitely higher that what we would actually achieve. So anyway, whatever we achieved would most probably be more inclined towards our level of acceptance rather than our level of expectancy. This may sound confusing but try drawing a linear graph, illustrating the relationship of your level of expectancy against your level of acceptance, it'll make more sense.

I'll be starting my first major paper on the end of October if i'm not mistaken and i hope by then, i would have worked things out :)

Good luck to all who's preparing too! Don't lose hope :)

Bad bad attitudes

What do you do when you have an attitude problem ? Do you say 'fuck it' or reflect and think about what might be some causes to it. Most people are unaware of their attitude problems because it is in the nature of humans to not accept the negativity about themselves. Nevertheless, reflection is a a way in which we accept our flaws and mistakes and try to turn tables. Now back to what i said regarding the symptoms of having an attitude. Firstly, it's self-denial. We never associate bad attitudes to ourselves but instead, we pinpoint and pick out others who we think have major attitudes. It is beyond us to actually realise that we are one of those who suffer from this terrible syndrome. So how do we combat this ? Any ideas ?
